Come (on up) and make poetry on the roof!

Think candles, tea, beer, wine, and lots of paper. We’ll write poetry, together and on our own, guided by a shared theme, in a place where the gaze stretches far, and thoughts even further..

• Do you think you could never write a poem? 
• Have you been doing it for years? 
• Do you actually have no idea what a poem even is? 

All three apply to us too, and that doesn’t stop us. Give it a try, or share what you’ve been doing for years. Put a few words on paper, and you might suddenly find yourself reading them aloud by the end of the evening!

ALL LANGUAGES WELCOME!

Language is no barrier, as far as we’re concerned (and we are). Poetry makes its own language, one that cares little for borders or rationality.

STROOM - EAR TO THE EARTH

‘Stroom’ is een interactieve performance waarin luisterstations met hydrofoons en onderwateropnames worden gecombineerd met live muziek, uitgevoerd door Ear to the Earth. 

Deze voorstelling biedt een voorproefje van hun aankomende project ‘Stroomopwaarts’, dat zich richt op onderwater geluidsvervuiling. Ear to the Earth wil nieuwsgierig maken, en zich met jou verwonderen over onze eigen leefomgeving. Ze geloven dat zorgen voor onze omgeving begint bij deze verwondering.

WHAT HOLDS OF THE LIVING - ANAÏS LOSSOUARN

Met natte handen die langzaam over geslepen mineraalstenen glijden, ontlokt Anaïs Lossouarn diepe klanken aan twee zelfgebouwde steenharpen. Deze performance ontvouwt zich als een meditatieve uitnodiging om te vertragen en aandachtig te luisteren.

Het geluid ontstaat door wrijving: een subtiel samenspel van druk, vocht en beweging, vergelijkbaar met het laten zingen van de rand van een glas. Elke beweging past zich aan de reactie van de steen aan, waardoor iedere uitvoering uniek is.

HOW TO BE SEXY - Collecief 8erlijk

How to be Sexy? is een dansduet van Collectief 8erlijk over het leren thuiskomen in je eigen lichaam, terwijl je leeft in een wereld die voortdurend naar je terugkijkt.

Met speelsheid en intensiteit onderzoeken de performers wat het betekent om sexy te zijn, los van verwachtingen, sociale media en de blik van anderen. Deze voorstelling biedt een eerste inkijkje in het nieuwste werk van het collectief, speciaal gechoreografeerd voor Transmission Tower: een architectonische installatie bij EnergieKas op het dak, ontworpen door REFUNC.

Maak kennis met de nieuwe generatie dj’s van SUN // SET. Hier ontmoeten nieuwsgierige luisteraars en opkomende dj’s elkaar om nieuwe sounds te ontdekken.

Laat je meevoeren door verrassende sets, ontdek onbekende muziek en geniet van de energie bovenop het dak met uitzicht over de stad. Ben jij klaar om je over te geven, te dansen en je te laten verrassen? SUN // SET is de maandelijkse dj-sessie van EnergieKas: een plek waar muziek wordt gedeeld, grenzen worden verkend en van elkaar wordt geleerd.

POP UP - Mary Ember

Zoals een kampvuur mensen bij elkaar brengt zorgt Mary Ember voor een warme sfeer waarin je je begrepen en verbonden voelt. 

Met een enthousiaste en ontwapenende uitstraling brengt ze betekenisvolle en kleurrijke Americana-pop, waarmee ze je laat je lachen, huilen, meezingen of al die dingen tegelijk. Voor fans van Taylor Swift, Suzanne Vega en Kacey Musgraves.

MAKING GINGERBEER

Open fermentation session (NL/EN)

Tonight we’re making a large batch of ginger beer for EnergieKas, and everyone will get their own ginger bug to take home so you can start making ginger beer yourself too. Please bring a glass jar for your bug, we will provide the ingredients.

This program is part of Rotclub, a The Hague fermentation club for food cultures

How can we share and develop knowledge, facilities and skills around fermentation, with attention to health, microbial life, the food chain and emerging collective food cultures?

UIT JE DAK

Festival, rondleidingen & yoga

Ook dit jaar is EnergieKas één van de lokaties van het Haagse uit je Dak festival! 

De kans om mee te doen aan een rondleiding of yogales bij ons op het dak, of andere daken in de stad te bezoeken. 

Den Haag heeft een zee aan onbenutte dakruimte, samen te vergelijken met het hele duingebied van Hoek van Holland tot Scheveningen ofwel zestien keer het Zuiderpark. Om te laten zien hoe we die ruimte kunnen benutten, vindt dit weekend het Haagse dakenfestival Uit je Dak plaats. Op bijzondere daken in de stad ontdekken bezoekers welke kansen er liggen, van groene tuinen en zonne-energie tot cultuur en ontspanning.

SUN // SET is a monthly DJ session at EnergieKas to share music, experiment, learn from each other and to come together. For DJs, SUN // SET offers a low-pressure space to play, experiment and develop their sound in front of a real audience. Whether you're just starting out or already have experience, you can try new tracks, test different styles and gain confidence behind the decks.

HOOGTIJ: Resonance, to play or to be played

Expo geluidsinstallaties

This exhibition brings together four sound artworks connected through a shared theme: resonance. Each work invites us to listen to what usually goes unnoticed; the sounds of matter, water, and space itself. Together they encourage us to reconsider our place within these vibrations: as listener, body, and performer. We are all part of a larger whole that is constantly resonating, flowing, and changing.

Maoro Bult presents RO1, an acoustic resonator modeled after a classical cello. Designed as an acoustic body for electronic instruments, it opens up new possibilities for resonance and performance. (Performance 20:30) 

Ear to the Earth presents a preview of their upcoming project Stroomopwaarts, which explores underwater noise pollution. Recordings made beneath the water's surface are brought together with live music. (Performance 19:30 & 21:30)

Arno van Emmerik's sound installation plays with space, time, and distance. The soundscape is inspired by the ten meter high space in which it resonates.

Anaïs Lossouarn explores the resonance of stone instruments: how their sound lingers in the air and travels through the body, finding its way into the rhythm of the heartbeat.
